Our wonderful walking event to return

Over 600 of London’s Residents took to the Capital’s streets earlier this year at the first ever London Winter Wander and we’re delighted to say that the walking event will return on 9th February 2020.

Walkers will be able start from four locations around London with Battersea, Bermondsey, West Hampstead and Whitechapel offering a meeting place. Each walking group will make their way towards Trafalgar Square where they will join the celebrations of 25,000 Cancer Research UK London Winter Run finishers, including live music and special winter activities.

Every finisher will receive a commemorative bespoke medal upon completion of the 60-90 minute walk, along with numerous hugs from polar bears and penguins in Trafalgar Square. Live music and photo opportunities are not to be missed and will be waiting for walkers in the square.

London Sport, working alongside Human Race, support this event in working to achieve their overall aim to change lives by getting one million people in the capital more active. Human Race are responsible for the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run, as well major events such as the Manchester Marathon and Windsor Triathlon.

For those Londoners over the age of 55, you will be eligible to take part for free, with affordable entry for everybody else.

Should you know anyone that would want to take part please make sure to let them know and given the success of the 2019 event, it is likely that event places will sell quickly, so those who are interested in taking part, enter and secure your place now here.
