Congratulations to everyone to took part in the Chilled 5k over the weekend! We had a great number of you take part and we are now even more exicted for February 13th wherever you are taking part.

WHAT IS THE WINTER RUN CHILLED 5K?
It’s a virtual event, which you complete in any location you choose between Friday 28th and Sunday 30th January.
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO TO REGISTER?
Just ensure you are already registered for either the 2022 Cancer Research UK Winter Run Challenge or London Winter Run. You’ll also need to have set up your profile on the website (details below). There’s nothing further to do if you already have done this, and no entry fee.
DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE 5K IN ONE GO?
Yes, for this challenge you will need to run or walk 5k in one session, it cannot be a combination of activities. This is to prepare us all for the 10k the two weeks after.
CAN I RUN IT WITH FRIENDS?
Yes please! We’d love you to team up with friends, family, pets, and casual acquaintances to complete the Chilled 5k. Make sure you share any pictures of your run on social media using #WinterRun
FURTHER DETAILS ON ACCOUNT SET UP
If you’ve been smashing your winter training so far, unlocking badges left, right and centre then perfect, you know the drill! If not, here’s how it works:
You will now have your very own profile via this website. You can earn badges and physical rewards through your fundraising efforts. To top it off, you can also unlock virtual badges by tracking your training through Strava, giving you that incentive to smash a new distance, reach a total of 100k, or run for 5 consecutive days - there are plenty of virtual badges for you to earn.
Step 1 - Login to complete your profile, add personal details, and set your fundraising target.
Step 2 - You will now be able to share your fundraising page and encourage others to donate. Through your fundraising efforts, you can earn virtual badges and our amazing physical rewards below.
Step 3 - To track your training runs through Strava, simply go to ‘My Fitness Training’ on your profile to connect your Strava account. Head out for your training run and this will appear on your profile. You will be able to unlock virtual badges by tracking your winter training. Please note that your Strava activity may take up to a day to appear on your profile.
Step 4 - Complete a full 5k any time between Friday 28th January and Sunday 30th January to unlock our special achievement badge – simple!
We are beyond excited to see you all on the 13th February, we hope as many of you as possible will be able to join us for our virtual Chilled 5k, it’s the perfect incentive to get any last-minute training in.
